Great old thread I found. In my quest for a new Rolex, I orginally craved a 36mm TT DJ, white roman. I had a 36mm TT years ago. Though after trying on the TT BLUE pre-ceramic sub I wanted that one MORE. This may be due to the fact that my current nice watch is a 40mm Omega, and the 36mm DJ just felt so small. Decisions. I think it has been made. While I love the bluesy just know I'll wanna kill myself when the scratches all over the PCL's begin to show up. On the contrary the TT jubilee on the DJ doesn't show nearly the scratches as the sub bracelet. Look for DJ photos sometime this spring....(Oh wait, it almost is spring). Soon I hope!!

36 mm DJ or DD is just fine, 41 bigger then the sportwatches is imho strange.

too....but I want a classic car even more.
I have to many addictions in my old age.....cars,watches,motorcycles,guns.
they all cost major bucks....I need something cheap like collecting match books or something thats free at most places.
Dont tell me you are going to flip the YM?

IMHO, the classic 36mm DJ or DD is the gentleman's watch.

The 36mm DJ has to be Rolex's best seller. I guess they seen sales drop, otherwise why bring out a 42mm.

A little piece of advice if i may... this one has it all.. dress/super jubilé/sollid everose gold/classic rolex watch +++ rose gold wich is not in your collection yet !!!

This was few months back. I doubt JJ is still looking at DJ especially since his recent buy...double Subs.

Ah JJ, always a provocative - in a great way - post. I think you know where I stand on the Super-Jubilee.....

I challenge Rolex to design the "Ultra-Super-Jubilee"....it comes replete with a hologram of JJ on the inside blade. It's composition would consist of Platinum, Gold, SS, Rhodium...and, Paladium.

Am I sillly or what?

How does the SJ bracelet fit on your wrist(s).?
My wrist is only ...like, 7 1/4 " - yet the SJ clasp seems almost as wide, if not more, than that.!
Im wondering if a SJ would fit my wrist - or would it be too wide to sit comfortably.. ? - Like the linkage would be as wide as my wrist is, hense the band wouldnt sit comfortably.?
Anyone else in the same boat?

Sure they do.. but does it fit 'your' wrist. ? - or in my case, a slightly smaller wrist? -ie 7 1/4" .
The SJ clasp seems longer, underneath the wrist itself. - at least in my case...!
I'll have to do a 'actual' test at a local AD.
