31mm Oyster Perpetual
As I'm new to the Rolex models, I am wondering if someone who has a 31mm Perpetual - no date - could enlighten me with some of their opinions. I can't seem to find a lot of info on them - only the website and the catalogue - and just wonder how they would fit a man's medium sized wrist. I am very much into the smaller watches, and tried a few 34mm Air King models yesterday. I was surprised at how many models there are, and how many dial options are offered for most of the models. A real paradise for someone into the smaller watches, at an affordable price, great build quality and inhouse movement! I am going back this week to check them out again. The AD had quite a few, and I thought I would remember them all, but after I left mass confusion!
Any comments appreciated. The Air King or Perpetual - no date - looks like it will be my next watch - soon! Cheers, Carl |

air king
If you're patient, you can find various older models with 30-34mm cases, roughly, at nice prices. The vintage watches seem to have a somewhat common face design. The Air Kings, old or new, have a bunch of face options.
AK's are pretty affordable and you can find some great watch combinations. you might search Air King on the Forum. I recently saw a beauty-- SS with a white face and very distictive numerals on here. |

my wife has just part ex'd her 31mm oyster perpetual for a 35mm yachtmaster.
i think you will find that the 31mm will look too small on a gent's wrist. it looked small on my 14 year old son when he tried it on. if you suit the smaller dials then the air king is an interesting model with loads of unique dial options if you want a sports model try the Explorer 1 that is a really neat understated look |
