The Sub by a mile. The blue dial and ceramic bezel are superb in the flesh, as I am sure you will have noticed!

blue color is really beautiful to watch.

Put aside the re-sale value and hard to find factor.

Which one do you like better??

I like the Daytona better.

However in this case sounds like the Sub is best for you.

Will SS Daytona be in low supply and high demand for much longer?
Last year, AD laughed at you when asked if they can get a daytona, but
recently, they said they can find one if you want, but really firm at list price + tax.

My question is a few more years from, maybe daytona will just an another watch.

If you can afford to spend the money, and get a good discount, get the WG/Blue submariner. I'd say that the Sub is a more unique watch. I really like it, and so far I've only seen one "out there".

I have to admit though that the caliber 4130 in the Daytona most likely is the best chronograph movement there is...

Best,

A

Thoughts on Blue or Black Dial on Yellow Gold Submariner. I am buying a Yellow Gold Sub " D" serial with bezel engraving and a Blue Dial. I was kind of hoping to get the same thing with a Black Dial and the Store said it could change it for me if I wanted. I am having second thought on changing from original blue. I have been use to the black on my tt sub for years and think it looks more classic. The blue seems a bit too colorful / loud. Thoughts?

the WG Sub gets my vote... it's in my wish/dream list
i guess most have said it as well... the SUb "sang" to you... if you don't mind the big price difference, then get the one that calls to you... try wearing it too and feel how it wears...

WG Sub for a keeper. SS Day if you're a flipper.

Personally, I would go for the Sub. I've tried that piece and it felt speeeecial

Cheers

How about a little compromise
SS Daytona $10K
18K/SS ceramic SUB $10K with choice of blue or black dial/bezel
put $5K in your pocket and maybe more with a negotiated discount for buying 2 watches in one transaction.

If price wasn't a factor, the Sub for sure!
