if (when) rolex stop producing the current bezel for the submariner range and change to ceramic which one of the sub range in your opinion do you think will be the more sort after ? The latest sub no date (short production run) the green bezel sub ( short production run) the classic sub date my guess is the sub no date whats yours? |

would love to say the LV, but the classic Sub Date black bezel would be my pick.

The most sought after will be the one YOU want.
Just like when I went to buy my BMW a few years ago / wanted black with the Sports package - THAT was the most sought after combo, so I paid top dollar...Just like when I wanted a White Acura Integra in '88...THAT became the most sought after model. Just like when I decided a Coke GMT II was what I wanted, they became scarce and more expensive ....You see where this is going? |

I'd say LV.

They were all mass produced, go vintage if you want something that might be worth what you paid for it 40 years down the road.

I'd go with the LV. Maxi dial, green bezel, buy a black bezel from one of the reputable sellers here, you've got it all.

Agreed but the shortest production run will be the sub no date COSC, it wil have only been produced for a short 2-3 year run, if it does stop next year

One more the Sub ND, but I seriously doubt it'll be particularly collectable. The 14060 has been produced for a long, long time

If I may say....I find there's quite a few people just looking for the next Orange hand Exp II or Double Red SD. Rather than just going for really appeals to them.
Watches are to be owned and enjoyed....if they happen to be worth a bundle a few decades down the road then that's a bonus. |

Bezels for the Sub Date are different from the Sub..
My feeling is still that the Sub will continue to be produced after the Sub Date goes ceramic..
