TRF is a VERY special place indeed. The things that we do for this place we do out of our love of this amazing community. I don't post all that much, (I'm usually too busy fending off ddos attacks ) but I do hang around and see what goes on here, it is like no other that I've seen anywhere online. That is why I don't mind doing what needs to be done to keep this place running, along with Steve and the Mods. Really, it is not us that deserve the kudos, it is YOU who keep this place so endearing and so welcoming. To you I say, cheers!

Glad everybody was able to get it back up and running. Special thanks to all those behind the scenes! And to the other forums that provided public service announcements.

You really do come to fully appreciate what you take for granted when it's taken away. Thanks to all for getting TRF back on line!

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of camaraderie shown by other forums during the attack. I've seen forums in other hobbies try to take advantage of outages involving dominant forums to recruit new members, but for the most part, that didn't happen here. I assume measures can be taken to prevent a similar attack in the future?

I agree. There is something about this community that makes it so special. The fact that other forums were willing to help out and provide a place for us to meet and share our concerns during the outage shows that we are not competitors. Rather we are compatriots; we've shown that there is room for more than one home for watch enthusiasts and we can go back and forth visiting each others homes at will.

Kudos to this great community (not only TRF, but also WUS, TKF, and Uncle AJs). Well done, everyone.
