Watch lubrication
Why can't the oils be seen lubricating the gears when looked at from the back of the case. I hope this is not a syupid question but I know these watches have some for of lubricant protecting the moving parts?

The lubricant is added to the pinions and jewel bearings in very tiny quantities. I don't think there's any oil added to the teeth of the wheels or cogs.
