VC SS Overseas non-chrono black dial
guys and gals,
what do you think? I'm trying to get away from Rolex and Omega to a different league of watch ownership. Was at Harrods tonight for their luxury watch show and tried this one as well as Berguet Maraine SS with rubber strap, AP Royal Oak SS. The VC stood out for me. It is simple yet classy, suits my style. Now I'm in two minds about it, as I also have my eyes on a YG GMTIIC 50th and WG DDII. The VC is about half the price of the two rolexes mentioned, but that isn't an issue. What I want to know is..... Is this VC a decent one from their company? This is the only one I like at the moment. Thanks. |

The VC overseas didn't do it or me. I'd have been paying for movement finishing which I couldn't see due to it not having an exhibition caseback.
It's very nice but I couldn't see anything that stood out as being of higher quality than the Rolex you've mentioned. Compared to the DDII I think it's the poor relation. My opinion and I realise it's worthless

thanks John, fair comment.
The reason i liked it is because of it simple black dial design and it is something different to the rolexes i have. Only tried it last night and havent been able to research into it. Have been reading the Watch Time VC special edition, very intrigued about the VC brand. someone suggested the chrono version due to a different movement - but the dial is too busy for my liking and am not really into chronos. if i do stay with Rolex, it will probably be the YG GMTIIC 50th with the green dial |

The VC is one of the few Chronos which look good
but the basic version looks amazing as well. The dial and work are beautiful. There is no display caseback as the watch is in a double cage and is anti magnetic so they can't do the clear caseback. I think it is one of the best marriages of a sports watch and dress watch out there.

It's a lovely watch, but they do lose a bit of value so always best trying to find a nearly new one. I was looking at the chrono version before getting the AP and have to say i couldn't fault the watch, just the price and depreciation.
