I'm pulling the trigger on this 7928...Help!
Any issues I should know, I have been talking with the seller all day long and finally decided to buy it (that is if someone doesn't buy it before me) I have spoken with Steve M. about trading my 16610 but have decided to keep it (sorry Steve) and just buy a 7928 straight out. It has a refinished dial and hands but the rest is original and has been recently serviced. The back is a replacement, but it's an original 7928 marked III 64 which is correct for this watch. Let me know Tudor guys, I'd hate to make a mistake. Thanks.

Other than what you already know .... one crown guard looks slightly overpolished compared to the other. No band (strap doesn't count - don't listen to those Nylon Nation lunatics ).
Personally, I would not buy a refinished dial but that is just my personal preference. Really there is nothing wrong with it, but it loses the vintage 'feel' IMO. But you could never find an original 7928 for that price. If you wanted, you could source an original dial and hands in the future..... I would. It still looks very nice the way it is. Good luck! |

...yupper...
...like you, I was also considering the BIN.
...looks like you entered a bid as opposed to the BIN?? ...as far as the dial goes, the refi looks to be a good one. The mvmt looks good and case is very good condition. It could be difficult to find an original (untouched) dial/hands in reasonable condition for ANY VINTAGE watch. Personally, if the dial that is on the watch now had reached a state of bad appearance, I TOO would have had it refinished. ...as mentioned above, the lug thickness is different, probably due to polishing nicks/scratches. ...was it an RSC service or local watchmaker?? |

The service was from a local watchmaker, not the RSC. |

I'm looking for a riveted bracelet, but that is going to have to come at a later date. I'd like someone here to sell me a Bond Nato to put on it...JJ? GOt any spares?
