restored after laying in the cupboard for 20 years, my dad bought it at a pawn shop in Cape town about 30 years ago for R 500.00 , thats about $70 at todays exchange rate, she's looking beutiful after the R 2000.00 service.

Jonathan,where did you have it serviced... Rolex SA in Sandton ? What did they do ? Replaced any parts ? Or was it just a COR(Clean,oil,reset) ?

Hi there Chris, it was serviced by the Rolex agent in Cape Town, Chronos, they replaced the following parts, Crown,Tube, Rotor Axle,Case bars Case back gasket,Crystal replacmet, Watch service and case polish, a very nice job, it took about 3 weeks, cost R 1980,00

I love the watch and the band is awesome. I just put a brown alligator strap on my DJ. I wouldn't mind that type of band. Could you PM what kinda band that is?
