Question About Pay Pal ...

For the guys who sell/ship a lot of watches, is PayPal still a safe way to do business as long as you are dealing with a buyer with a verified address? Over the past few months, I have heard about a PayPal scam where the buyer files a complaint against the seller after receiving the merchandise and PayPal freezes the funds, or pulls the funds out of the seller's account - or something like that. Any advice? I prefer bank wires, but have done business through PayPal with verified addresses before. I just don't know anything about my prospective buyer. He's new here with zero posts.

Thanks,
Mike

I would be very very careful..
it is very dangerous to use paypal if its from someone you dont know..they can easily do a chargeback thru their credit card company or just file a merchandise not as described complaint and then its up to you to proove that your merchandise wasnt fake etc..very bad news..

Just as I thought. I can always count on you, Steve! Thanks for the input. Bank wire transfer it is!
Take care.

As a seller, Bank wire is preferred. As a buyer Credit Card or PayPal is preferred.

BUT BUY THE SELLER NOT THE ITEM!!!

If they trust you, you can always get them to "gift" you the amount, you also wont have to absorb the fee that way. The buyer has no recourse however
