Are you saying these guys are not trustworthy or that it is rare to find people this honest in the business? I have purchased 4 watches in the past 2 years from these guys (2 for myself, 1 for my wife, and 1 for my business partner) and I cannot even begin to speak enough praise towards them. Besides the excellent deal I received on each and every single watch, the service provided went above and beyond any expectations going in. Yes I agree there are horror stories on eBay, but do not bash any seller(s) that work hard to maintain their reputation as good as they have. I give my total 100% confidence and trust that they will deliver every time without fail. I am and will be a loyal customer to them for life!

I just bought a Daytona TT from Tina at Highlinetime.com on ebay. Great watch and service. They've been at the same location in Aventura Fl for 25 years and have 1200+ ebay watch transactions with 100% positive feedback. Best regards, Brian

mvpwatch had a new blue faced 2 tone daytona that i really liked. i communicated back and forth for over a month with darian. watch never sold and kept being relisted. i was given a quoted value for my white faced 2 tone 2003-2004 daytona in trade. when i asked about sending my watch to a stranger, i was told that i would have to trust him as all of his past customers have done. i shipped watch. he confirmed arrival but asked questions that made me wonder because he asked things that he could have seen if the watch was in his hands. (it ended up his partner tookdelivery of it)he then gave me a quote for less than i was told i would get in trade even though he confirmed that my watch was 100%. next he tells me that the daytona is gone, even though it was still an active ebay auction. so i looked his inventory over on ebay and made another choice. another not available reply, even though they were still active auctions. in the long run i settled for a new datejust and very slightly used 2 tone sub. when watches arrived the band on the 2 tone sub was damaged and he never replied to my communication. all this was with mvpwatch and the return address on shipping box was usaveontime. my experience was less than favorable.

I have done business with Both of Joels Company's and both turned out to Be A Positive One. Looks like you just had bad luck with a recently sold piece that was hard to replace at the time. Furthermore If you didnt want to do the deal after they got your Daytona I am sure you could have just backed out and they would have just shipped it back to you. Seem Like you are saying a 1 sided story but I AM Sure they didnt Force Your New Watch Down your Throat. In addition, You do have to keep in mind The Internet is a World Wide Business and sales do happen every hour/minute so the watch you wanted could have just been sold minutes/hours/a day before you decided to pull the trigger as this happened with me with another seller about 1 yr ago and that is how i found these guys! No biggy just move on, but from what you wrote It seems to me as they were the ONLY ones with the piece available (Huge & Great Inventory). Nothing personal just my 2 cents

From what I have gathered on Ebay some Rolex sellers will put window dressing on a Rolex to gain more money on them. In the Rolex Report, a book it details this trend. Like a puppy mill you turn out the watches out as fast as you can with the most profit. If you look on Ebay look at the watches witt after market dial and bezel this is window dressing. The band they put on is not Rolex so the profits are high. Not all sellers are like this, however I have see alot of window dressing on a watch to make it look good. This makes me wounder what the movement is like also. Take the crystal you can buy a new Rolex one for say $300.00 or a aftermarket one for $30.00, their are fake Rolex band and parts for sale that to someone who is not looking for details can be scammed. A used end piece for a Rolex watch band can go for say 50.00 on Ebay however a fake one can go for 3.00 with bogas marks. That is one way you can get scammed by someone. So it is important you find someone who is trustworthy or you can be buying some aftermarket shiny crap.

Do what I do sit back and read the forum and the watch out posts it is interesting what you will learn from them. Take the time to learn about the Rolex watch before you jump into the fire.

Have you seen usaveontime.com or mvpwatchco.com ?
I have spoken to them a few times and bought 2 pieces from them. They DO NOT "window dress" nor use any aftermarket parts. These are one of the only guys on ebay who dont advertise or stock aftermarket dial, bezel which in my opinion is one of the ONLY way to do it.

no not the case, both watches that were suppose to have been sold, were immediately relisted on ebay. fact, not one sided opinion. the used sub was not even the watch that was pictured on the auction which could fall into the fraud category because you are not providing the item that is pictured. there are laws out there to protect the public, let alone ebay's policies. the fact that i have heard virtually nothing from them since giving notice of the bad band. that speaks for itself

Thanks for the help.

Some sellers I was looking at are: Beckertime, watchdoncorlione, u$aveontime, watch_chest, amorris9999

Looking at 18K/SS Rolex Submariner! BLUE DIAL SEL BRACELET16613, if you have one in great condition for sale please let me know.
All of the power sellers you have mentioned are decent people

I have done business with Adam Morris (amorris9999)
buying selling and trading, he is definately a great guy.

This is Darian from MVPWATCHCO, and yes the story is one-sided. This customer forgot to mention a few things as well. Yes the watches were re-listed and were available, but not at 4pm to be shipped for the very next morning, which he was adamant on needing it as he was going away on a trip. Also, I did go above and beyond to deliver his watches for the very next morning, in which he did receive. In addition, his trade-in watch was adequate, but definitely not 100% and was not needed (especially not with a dial that did not belong on the watch might I add). It was more of a favor to "make the deal happen". This is actually news to me of the "unsatisfactory" transaction. I don't understand why I would receive 2 positive "100% satisfaction" feedbacks for the transactions and then read on this forum of his venting frustrations?? My number/email is still the same, to my knowledge everything was ok. I am not here to say negative things about anyone, but I will defend our companies and reputation. We have been in business for over 12 years, and have always stood behind our product. Anyone is welcome to check out our sites and contact me or Joel and we definitely will take care of you the proper way.

His prices are astronomical, but he seems like a good guy, takes clear, quality photographs and always has well... "top notch" inventory withOUT "window dressing". I try to model my Ebay listings after him.

BECKER TIME!

Man do they sell some modified aftermarket-bracelet/aftermarket bezel crap for high dollar... I GUESS just on their reputation alone as the bids always go SKY high on their listings (no offense to anyone who bought one). In fairness, they do state when the bands are not original etc... but for ebay newbies finding the small text isn't always easy and I'm sure they get taken frequently, or without even knowing. I'm not okay with that.

darian, first. why did you not reply to my communication about bad band on submariner. second. the ebay photo of the submariner clearly showed a sub with a intact hologram on the rear of the case, but watch arrived with no hologram. i thought the photo's should be of the item being listed, not something similiar. what difference does it make how fast i needed the items that were currently listed as for sale at auction on ebay, but told they were not available and were sold, but available for relisting immediately after auction timed out. our initial phone conversation was at 10 pm your time, as soon as fed ex delivered it. so to say 4 pm is another inaccuracy of the facts. yes you got favorable feedback, that by the way you have not done so in return. the rolex watchband extension that i will never use is the problem. this was not noticed until i took the watch to my local rolex dealer to confirm serial number and look over watch. since i already provided ebay feedback, i specifically used this forum to allow other people to be aware of my experience. i am not looking to recover the fee it will take to make the watch proper. the face on my daytona was classified as an upgrade and was put in place to enhance the look of the watch. i specifically picked it out at the beverley hills cal. west coast rolex service center that all my rolex watches are serviced at. when i buy something that does not match the photo provided and also am told that something is not available(to me)but other customers, i take it personal. you still have my email, if you want to take this private. BOTTOM LINE, THEY ARE 2 NICE WATCHES THAT WERE BOUGHT FOR A FAIR PRICE. SELLERS COMMUNICATION WAS VERY WEAK AND LESS THAN TRUTHFUL

If I want to take this private? It was private until you made it public. Unlike you, I am not about to discuss this matter on here. I don't think that shows professionalism on your part. If your communication was as good as you say it is, we would've taken care of any problems you may have had. We are always willing to bend over backwards for our customers, but I guess you decided to go a different route. Our very last conversation was you were "100% satisfied", its as simple as that.

Cool it, people. We don't want to shut this thread down or start giving out infraction points for inappropriate behavior.

Play nice, children. No one wants to get spanked.

our last communication was the email notifying you that the sub was damaged. you never replied. at that point there was positive feedback on ebay, but not 100% satisfaction. once again truth is rare from you.
