Try Before You Buy??
I'm really looking hard at a PAM 88 or 90 (maybe 104) as my next watch. I'm looking new from an AD or new via grey market. The only problem is that where I live (Canada) there are no AD's and those that we have here in Canada are limited and far away.
I've never tried on a PAM just seen them a long time ago in a showcase plus the shots on the web so I don't exacty know what it would look like on my wrist. I have two Rolex and five Omega with the largest watch being the Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph at 45.5mm. My wrists are 7.25 inches and the PO fits well. My Rolex AD said that PAM's are BIG bastards at 44mm but do they look and wear bigger than my 45.5mm PO?? Many of the shots on the forum have the PAM's looking big unless alot of guys out there have small wrists?? Chances are that I'm going to pull the trigger before I try one on....mistake?? Lend your thoughs please. |

I too have exactly 7.25" wrists & the Panerais fit me very well
Must be frustrating to have to buy before trying but I can guarantee that if you like the look, the 44mm will easily suit your wrists. |

Exactly but I won't rush into buying any PAM. Make sure whatever you are getting you like from top to bottom, even if it is through pictures. There are so many models with different flavors.

I have 7" wrists and wasn't able to try on my 312 or 243 before I bought them. I have NO regrets what-so-ever and love both the pieces!! I think you'd be happy with the PAM you're considering and the size will be fine.
Good luck and post some pics!!

Well, I'm one of those big wrist guys (not). Go on and guess my wrist size!
I think it is fine. Not a dress watch....

As the other posters have said it's not about the size of the wrist but the way it feels and wears I have 7" wrist and after worrying about the size when I tried various PAMs on they all felt good. I found the 1950 case sat slighltly better than the contemporary case probably due the profile of it's back.
I'd suggest that you try and find a PAM owner who lives locally and would be happy to allow you to try their PAM on just to allay any concerns you may have.

I have a small wrist , I have the 42mm Planet Ocean, not the 45, tried the 45 and looks to big, but when I tried the Panerai 104 on, its not big at all
