I bought the Sub date/LV due to the fact that it has a half link on the 6 o clock side, which gives me a better fit due to my small wrists!

I have a Sub ND and although I wasnt aware of the number of links etc as mentioned above it fits my small wrists fine. The clasp isnt in the centre of my wrist but apart from that I forget I have it on sometimes, its very comfortable.

I like the Sub and the Sub date. But the ND just pipped it for me as I have a mobile phone with me at all times so I get the date from there. Also im always around PCs so they have the date displayed too.

First I bought myself a Date Sub then I sold it and bought myself a ND because it looks more clean but then I started to miss the DS so a couple of weeks ago I bought myself a DS and I felt like "This really is my favorit".

It really should be a "Rolex rental service" so you could try it out for a couple of weeks before you make your final choise.

When I bought my sub, the choice was SD vs Sub date because I really wanted the date feature. After trying on both, I found the 16610 to be far more comfortable than the thicker SD. Investmentwise the SD would have been better seeing the current values, but as a keeper I wouldn't have it any other way.

Love my Sub!

I never really liked the 14060 or 5513, until recently. I have been diving, but do not consider myself a diver, and for that reason the Sub is not on top of my list. This said I REALLY like the new COSC 14060M, and holds it high on my list. If it goes out of production I will get one of the last to ensure that I have one.

Also. The 16610 is VERY good on SEL bracelets:

The COSC non-date. I know there's a lot of buzz surrounding the chronometer specs but hey, I'm a sucker for these things

The non-date has a very clean look and although the current incarnation is nowhere near the mythical 'Bond watch', I just like to think this kind of watch is what the man wore. Although he's a fictional figure

I bought the sub date without giving too much thought to the sub (no date). After 9 months of browsing the pics on this forum, the sub (no date) just was more appealing - I like the lug holes and the non-sel! So I bought a 14060m. Absolutely no regrets!! Also, I like the cyclops as a rolex icon - it looks great on someone elses wrist, but when I'm looking at MY wrist for the time, it just got in the way and had too many reflections...(maybe an ar coated cylops as on the gmtiic etc wouldn't bother me...)

I recently went into the AD wanting to buy an Explorer II or Sub No Date, and I ended up walking out with a Sub date. My wife talked me into it, but it truly is a great watch. However, like you said...the no date version is a cleaner look for sure.
