Good deal on 328?
Hi, I want a 312, and local AD offered me $6150, but have to wait. Couple weeks ago, they called and offered me $7100 for 320, I didn't take it, since I already have 2 GMTs (Rolex gmt2c and pam88). Today they called and offered me $6850 for 328. Is this a good deal? MSRP for 328 is $8600.

Sounds like you're getting around 20% off MSRP from you AD, which is tough to get - so it is a good deal - just depends if it's the watch that you really want.

Yes, it is about 20% off. 312 and 328 is same watch, only difference is 328 has the SS bracelet, I don't like bracelet on PAM, and their old style bracelet is a lot better looking.

Both are great deals and it sounds like you don't like the bracelets anyway, so that should simplify your choice.
IMO though the bracelet is a thing of beauty and love my 328. |

Sounds like a good deal if you like the bracelet and can't wait. If you would rather spend the cash on some straps and can wait then that might be a better option.

I might do it. Even if you don't like the bracelet, you could probably sell it for a few hundred $$$, and just wear your watch on straps essentially as a 312. $6850 would be a pretty good deal from an AD on a 312, much less a 328.

328 is a great watch - love mine! The bracelet is not my daily wearer, but is great to have available for swimming or living in a hot climate (which I do!). Also much prefer the new bracelet to the old ones - titanium may look good, but boy does it scratch! 328 comes on a lovely simple SS bracelet that is simple enough to work on a PAM. Go for it - you won't be disappointed!

That's a sick discount... go for it. Keep the bracelet for a while, you may warm up to it. Plus, I'd imagine it's better to keep the original bracelet in case you were to flip it in the future. I mean, how can you sell it as a 328 without the one item that makes it a 328??

I did it.
Can't pass this deal and just did it about 1 hour ago! To save the tax, they have to ship it, I'll get it next Tue. can't wait. This AD is nice to me - 20% off + no tax + extra strap!

I feel better now.
Matt: Whenever you have time let me know, we can go there again, they are the biggest PAM AD around here, they have a lot of PAMs.
I should have done more homework before I did it. This afternoon I searched on the web, very very few for sale, best I can find is $7299, there are 4 on ebay "By It Now" for $7995 - $8600, only one for auction, few minutes ago, I watched it ended at $7000 + $100 shipping. I feel better now, also got from AD is always better than ebay... Last edited by zlin08033; 17 January 2010 at 03:17 PM.. Reason: + |

Yes, I got pam buckle. But I'll change to use the strap I bought from my Thailand friend - http://rolexforums.com/showthread.ph...30#post1580530, I just got another ammostrap from him. |
