5513 matte dial

Hello,

This is my first post on this forum...I am thinking about buying my first vintage Rolex, and a 5513 Submariner is on my list too.

Does this matte dial and hands look all right for 6mil serial number 5513 Submariner?
I have compared with lot's of examples, and it looks fine for me as Type III Maxi dial with a yellowish patina...

Thanks,
Zsolt

Looks almost the same as my 70's 5513, patina and all. Great watch, great history, and just a dream to wear. Good luck with it if you decide to buy, I can't imagine you not loving it

Welcome to the forum, you need to have a good look around as this is an enormous repository of excellent information!

Zsolt, matte dial and hands look just like my 1978 vintage 5513.

Icon9 No deal...

I am really disappointed as finally I couldn't buy it...:(

I bought this watch on Ebay 10 days ago, paid for it with PayPal immediately...but after 1 week I still haven't received any shipping info from the seller.
I had to start a PayPal dispute to get a tracking number which was incorrect....finally the seller decided to refund it instead of shipping it...very suspicious and strange...

Anyway, I start looking for an other one again, hopefully with more luck...

Man I'm sorry to hear that.
Nothing more frustrating than when you pay and the seller turns around and doesn't supply.......
Hey at least you got a refund and there will be a next time.
Maybe it is a good thing at the end of the day

Thats too bad. Have you looked on the for sale forum here? There have been a few recently and still are, albeit with later dials.....good luck.

Welcome to TRF!

Don't feel bad, at least you got your money back. Try the classifieds on this forum. You just might get lucky.

Happy hunting.

An other one..

Thanks again for the previous comments!

I have found an other one, what do you think about this dial and the hour indexes? This supposed to be a 1.9M modell from 1968...
