1966 1601 Question

I have a 1966 1601 that has a 2 tone oval jubilee bracelet that has loose end links, they are marked 50. Are they correct and it is just loose or are they incorrect. Also, the bracelet clasp has no numbers but a small 11 9 or 6 11 near one of the joints, is this the correct bracelet?

Thanks,
Neil

good question for springer and tudorman on watchout. my experience tells me,
during that period the ends where marked with 2 numbers... examples
49,50,57,58,80. the 3 numbers ends would be a later. this isn't an written fact,
it just comes from handling older bands and seeing a pattern among the numbers.
i have also seen usa jubilees w/ NO MARKS. they are the same exact shaped ends as the marked one.

the mystery deepens, hmmm..... what do we think out there?

added pictures

as the pictures show a tu-tone marked 50 with 2 stainless steel
that are the same exact shape.

also there is a marked 50 with a similar shape like the 49 and 280

could it be that the swiss made bands had a different shaped end??

what could it be?? anyone out there..........

...I would say that the...

...49 and 50 ends are for the Swiss made, ROLLED, Jubilee bands (earliest Jub's).

...as well as the one numbered 2 tone Jub end you show.
