Info / opinions on older (w serial) 14060

Hi All,

I have a unique opportunity to pick up another 14060 at a pretty good price...I think. Haven't seen it yet in person, but it is supposed to be in really good shape. Im looking for a little info / opinions on this older model as I dont know a lot about them. I know that it has a different movement and a T<25 dial / tritium lume, but is there any goods or bads about these years of subs?

How are the bracelets on these? Other than lume, any other visual or functional difference I should consider?

I will look for the service mark on the crystal, but I am currently unsure of the service history. Just looking for some facts/opinions on this one before looking at the watch in person.

Thanks in advance!

Nothing wrong with the watch, the only difference between the movements is that 14060 has a balance cock whereas the 14060m has a balance bridge. Rolex also added the Breguet overcoil hairspring to the 14060m. This is why they added the "M". IMHO, the tritium dial is more appealing from a collecting standpoint.

I bought a 14060 U serial last summer, so it's a couple years newer than your, but cant be that different. I Love it. It's a calssic beauty. Jump on it.

I generally know the watch well - I have a 14060M F-series, but this older one would be a nice addition...just want to know what Im working with.

Aside from the movement changes Scott mentioned, the watches are basically identical... All parts interchange too..

(of course, the latest have a couple of cosmetic changes: rehaut, COSC dial, Luminova, etc.)
