Now i understand....

all the hype about these watches. I just received my first rolex. A 1980-81 SS Datejust. I find myself just staring at it while Im bored at work sometimes. I can finally come on these forums and not feel like a lurking loser. Also, does $1450 seem like a good deal for this watch. thanks guys

Congrats, Bobby. I think the price is spot on especially if it's been recently serviced. My first was a 1986 DJ. Love the engine turned bezel.

Yes you cannot stop at one Rolex watch, I have two and I am planning a third if my wife does not find out.
