Has anyone here noticed that Jesse James (Monster Garage) wears a Panerai? Last night he was pimping out a Hummer in Iraq and was wearing a Panerai the entire time. He was wearing it on the SS band, not a strap. It looked really good!

I was waiting to see if he'd ever take it off when working, but he didn't. He even left it on when he was welding/machining. I bet that watch has some interesting battle scars.

I've seen Monster Garage a lot and i get the impression JJ only does 'work' for the camera and then others take over for the challenging or hard work.

Just a thought. Strikes me a pseudo-tough guy.

You're probably right Johnny. At this point he porbably does only minimal hands on work. I do know that he is capable of doing all of the welding/fab work that goes on in his shop.

He started his business without a bank loan, just selling what he made and making it grow from there.

Let's look at it like this, if you had Sandra Bullock at home, would you rather fab up a gas tank, or lay some pipe with her.

I have to ask a question. 'Chopper' what exactly does this term mean? Is it a type of Harley Davidson bike or is it a style of bike from any maker?

Or have I got it completely wrong????

The term "Chopper" originated back in the 1940's Amanda. When the servicemen came home from WWII alot of them bought motorcycles, Harleys, Indians, Triumphs etc. Quite a few of them would customize the airplanes they flew with pin-up girls, so they felt the need to do the same with their motorcycles.

They would take off anything that wasn't necessary like the front fender, cut maybe 6" or so off of the back one, put a smaller headlight or seat on it among other things. They would say they chopped their motorcycles up from their original incarnation. Hope this helps
