couple of rolex questions for you guys

i am new to the site as well as the brand. i do however have a few questions about some of the models i have been eyeing for purchase.
1) does anyone know if the green crystal Milgauss is just as "strong"/scratch resistant as other sapphire crystals?? i heard that the "greening" process makes the crystal more brittle?
2) Submariner, if im not interested in collecting, but just want a good sub, what reference numbers would you suggest? and what is the expected prices?
3) Lastly could anyone tell me from personal experience with a new ceramic bezel (GMT IIC) Are they as "scratch proof" as they say? and if not what are the service measures taken to restore a scratched ceramic bezel? is it an insert?

Thanks a lot for your time guys!

1. Some claim it's more brittle than a regular, non-green, crystal.

2. 16610 (has date) $5,800.00. 14060M (no date) $4,900.00.

3. Scratch resistant, perhaps? They can break which requires replacement of the entire bezel as the ceramic is not an insert.

Sapphire is sapphire, so I don't expect that the green is any more fragiole than the clear..

What is likely is that a scratch on the green will be more noticeable.... like a scratch on the clearcoat of a white car cannot be seen, but a small scratch on the clearcoat of a black car looks like a scar due to the light refraction of the scratch.... I believe that is why they do not etch a coronet into the green crystals... it would likely look like a beacon............

As far as a V, M, Z Sub Date........... they all are exactly the same except you will find some with an engraved rehaut and some not.. that is a personal decision and cosmetic only.
