How do I send my GMT-IIc to Dallas RSC?
Can I do it myself or do I need to take it in to an AD? Do I write them a letter telling them what I would like done, or do I call ahead and speak with someone?

If you're in the Bay area, why don't you just walk it in to the one in San Fran.....

You send it in yourself. The RSC requires that the watch be shipped via USPS Registered Mail, and the USPS requires that Registered Mail packages be completely covered from stem to stern in brown paper tape. Call the RSC and they'll provide detailed instructions.

Simply call the RSC of your choice and they will send you a box. Or just let your AD do it.

Simply call Rolex. They will tell you how to address it and when to ship it. I highly suggest using Rolex or a authorized Rolex dealer. NOT Joe Blow Buffer Watch Shop. LOL

The one in San Fran is one of the best in the business, and I would use it before Dallas if it was as close to me as it is to you.......... Rolex Authorized Service Center 210 Post St, Ste 705, San Francisco, CA 94108 (415) 982-9830

I've found Giovanni (the owner) to be very pleasant and personal to deal with, unlike the impersonal and inflexible stories I've heard about the corporate RSCs.

Well i think I'll send it to the corporate RSC as I think the issue I'm trying to have resolved is a defect on my watch's dial. Any idea what the turn around time is for a new dial to be put on, as I assume they can't change out the dial's luminous markers?

Why do you need to send in a IIc so soon?

The lume markers have identations, almost like dimples, in them. You can't really see them in bright, show light, like a jeweler’s, but they really stand out under normal every-day light. There are small circular identations on the center of the circular markers and small rectangluar indendations on the center of the two rectangular markers. It's very frustrating...
Anyone ever heard of or seen this before? |

I wonder if it is common.. Round "indentation" in the round markers and rectangular indentations in the rectangular markers.. Could it be a result of the way the lume is applied. Well better give RSC a call and explain the problem, I am pretty sure they will ask you to ship the watch to them (about 40usd) and worst case you just loose 40usd.
I am sure they will make it right.
