Going Nuts, running slow now......
I am going nuts with my SD. At first it was always run fast, brought it in and really no change. I really say the hell with it and stopped checking it. Now a friend just bought a Just Date and we got to talking so I re-set it on the 1st, on the 5th it was 4 seconds SLOW, now on the 11th it is 9 seconds SLOW. I wear it every day and wind it "just because" once a week 40 times. I don't have a auto winder, but place it FACE UP every night.
Is this normal ?? Should I forget the "+ or - 2 sec a month statement ?? My wife tells me just to wear it and enjoy it...... start woman. It just pisses me off that my 400 dollars Citizen Promaster has been on the money since 1998...... LOL |

Normal? 9 seconds slow in 11 days? That's exceptional! Can't get much more accurate than that. Just enjoy that watch.

You do realize that these watches a fully mechanical and fluctuate on accuracy?
A citizen or any watch with a battery (quartz) will always keep better time.

Wait...weren't you the guy who posted about the accuracy of your SeaDweller awhile ago? Your watch is running GREAT. COSC= -4/+6 seconds per day!!! I really don't see the point of worrying about mechanical watch accuracy with a watch that is running within COSC.
Most here would love that accuracy. Just enjoy it or...to use a watch forums cliche " if you care that much about accuracy, get or just stay with a quartz." |

Jim, I agree with your wife, relax and enjoy the darn thing. That is fantastic accuracy for a mechanical watch, you do realise this right????? This is the beauty of a mechanical watch, they all have their own personalities. Some gain, some lose, some deviate when resting in different positions, it is all part of enjoying a mechanical movement.
If the accuracy is really going to bother you, seriously buy a quartz watch. Don't get wrapped up with the brand of the watch, just buy one that will make you happy. You have way to much money tied up in a watch that is bugging you because it runs just over a second a day off.
