Most definately, 80% of a Rolex watch value evaporates without the hang tag
Manual wind Daytonas 6239 are selling for 2000 dollars just because
there is no hang tag and 48.000 if with hang tag...

I only got them with my DJ, and I saw the stickers pulled off before me. SD already had stickers off, and didnt get to keep the bezel protector or hangtag. Didnt really mind as I kept an extra £300 in my pocket for one of the last V serials!

Wasn't pre-owned from your AD was it? If so, it may have come in without tags from the original seller to begin with.

What I fail to understand is how can an AD give you a watch without the tags?

When you buy the watch, the sales person automatically checks the serial number of the watch and makes sure you get the CORRECT box. Now this CORRECT box is determined by the green hang-tag inside which bears the SAME serial no. as that on the watch.

Either that...........or in most cases the RED SEAL and GREEN TAG are attached to the bracelet of the watch.

So it's all there originally arranged by Rolex. What gives ADs the right to fiddle/fart around with what the Rolex gods have already deemed right?

-watch with plastic stickers
-outer box
-inner box
-watch holder
-booklets (3 most of the time)
-red hangtag
-green hangtag
-bezel protector
-warranty holder
-warranty card
-cleaning cloth with rivetted sides
-Sheet of foam to protect the plastic box when it closes.

LOL! There's actually 2 sheets of foam, one with the hole punched out. And one without - for placing on top of the green box (or under the box, so it won't stick itself to the booklets).

I love the older boxes. Cheers,
