IMHO Fake.I have seen real 18k gold fake presidents for many years.1st out of Italy now everywhere. There is really no way to tell a real gold president from a fake unless its in your hands and apart.

Personally I'd upload them anyway mate.

You never know.... better pic's might give a better result if the experts can see relevant details.

Seriously.........You "happen" upon a $20k + watch, and then you ask if it's real??

You would be more likely to be struck by lightning.

Gentlemen, let's not be too quick to jump to conclusions based on one somewhat fuzzy pic.

This one's the real deal. Other than the date window, there's not much difference between them.

My advise to the OP - take it to an AD or competent watchmaker and have them remove the case back. That will tell you with certainty whether it's genuine.

Aftermarket diamonds

Sir,

But the "real deal" has a an aftermarket diamond dial, they are not aligned with the day window.

It seems the OP crystal is misaligned but there's nothing to say about it without a good picture

This one is a lot different, granted the one you posted has an aftermarket dial....for starters look at the shape of the case.

Correction, this is not an aftermarket dial but diamonds added to the original dial as to where the OP's dial is an aftermarket.

There is a reason as to why the original dials with added diamonds never line up with the datewheel but I guess you all knew that already.

Two pics of the same clasp??? Look like engraving in one of the pictures, and nothing on the other?

Or maybe you fliped the watch over to take the second pic

Another shot of it on. Looking at other day dates on the web, it does actually look slightly different. It may well could be fake.

True, but I would have a difficult time believing there was a $7,000 President's bracelet on a fake DD.

Sorry fella, the bracelet has signed and sealed it as a replica I think. Replicas are almost always electroplated with gold and the dark spots are where the band was blocking parts of the SS.

This is a fake... thanks for sending in a clear shot of the dial.
The word wednesday is defninitely not the right font.
The fonts on the dials not correct.
The L is not aligned correctly with the crown
Most of the folex.... the word ROLEX... they tend to mispell the O.... putting it side ways... this one seems to be the same.

The best fakes in the world can only be spotted when you open the back.

When we say better photos, we want clearer photos. That image you posted, I wouldnt be able to read the wording on the dial and would have no idea what it says, if I didnt already know.
Just seen this, it slowly turns over, that means its fake dont it?

If it is indeed fake (and having owned a DD with a blue face I also feel that it is), I'd be more worried about what kind of "gold" that really is and what possible lead content there may be in it.
