Footballers.
Footballers.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6367425.stm Manchester United Gary Neville wants to get rid of Football Agents because they take thousands if not millions of pounds off players, and the money they get goes out of the game. Well Gary firstly you now grossly overpaid players can no doubt afford it Secondly money going out of the game, well how many players put any of their millions back into football rather than swelling the coffers of Ferrari,Jacobs & Co,£££, Gucci£££ and their local Estate Agents£££££££. Thirdly Chelsea have said that they will not cut prices because they have to fund players wages,if there were no agents would players pump the money they save back into the club. So that the average guy true football fan in the street. Can get his extortionate average price for a top club ticket to watch a football game in the UK. Is now a average £38 ($75) a ticket price reduced? I very much doubt it. At the end of the day these greedy leeches just want more money in their already swollen coffers. And as for taking the morale high ground this is the same Gary Neville who lead a players strike to get Rio Ferdinand reinstated in the England squad after he missed his Drug Test (Maybe he should have spent some of his millions on a good watch like a Rolex, rather than in has case a bling Jacobs & Co.

Well myself not really a die hard football fan, myself prefer rugby. Most sports today are all about money and business, afraid the fans take second place. And what I have seen a great number of football players today act like spoilt brats and think themselves above the law of the land.

All this is what's killed professional sports here as well. The race for the all mightly $ / £.
Owners and players share the blame as do fans for continuing to blindly support them.

Well Jeff today to watch a match in the premier league, your talking of
between £35-£40 for the cheapest seats.Today is all about sponsorship and how to extract the most cash from the public and fans of any sport today.Afraid its not sport today, but pure money grabbing business.

i would always support my team but have started going to games and staying in the pub with my mates- still get the day out, beer, banter etc but without feeling ripped off as much- i recently travelled to moscow to watch my team lose 1-0 in the coldest temp. i have ever known, it cost me a months wages and the team didnt even acknowledge us after the game- not so much as a clap...

Statistics say that the average premiership/championship football player has an IQ 15 less than the UK average whereas a rugby player (whose head is kicked in 10 times a game) is 10 above the UK average.
I reckon the same would apply to the crowd. We live in a society whereby you can be famous for being a slaggy mother of someone who is rich for being famous for being stupid and ugly and racist and brainless. A minority of footballers give the game a good name but are so outweighed by the masses of overpaid talentless twats. I love football and my team but cannot relate to what is going on in the sport. It stinks like a dead whore's m!nge.
