Experimenting with new light box
So I made a light box and thought I would post pics here as they come along. I followed the instructions in this thread: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=118640
Let me know what you think. I put my DSSD on the top of my humidor. I thought it would make a nice stand. |

Very nice even lighting.
How did you avoid reflections on the bezel and crystal? I'm no great photographer, but perhaps you can use smaller f stop to get more depth of field. Top half of the bezel is a bit soft.

Great advice. I avoided reflections on the bezel by positioning the lights (on the side) so that as light passed through the translucent fabric, it reflected inside the box without causing glare on the crystal. I'll try a smaller f stop next. It was key to properly white balance the photo to maintain the true color of the watch.
