The red square I'm talking about appears in the right hand corner of the post. Click on that link above given by Vernon and then go to post #64 and 66. You will see a red square as I've described.

Thanks JJ. Either I'm crazy or the first time I looked it wasn't there. Then after reading from the first page to see what the heck was going on, I saw them.
I think I'm just blind and or crazy. Sorry!

JJ is that the thread that ended up getting Atomic banned?

Very true. And I guess that one thread can't be the whole reason for a ban.
After reading the other thread/poll about his banning it seems to be quite a controversial and heated topic. I didn't know he was banned so recently, only after reading the thread that you linked.
Anyway I'm sorry for straying off topic. I'll watch quietly from the sidelines again

An explanation was given to Atomic (in italics below) about the first (and every) infraction he received, I make part of it public as Atomic is no longer a member and you have raised an allegation which requires a response:

The moderation team has absolute discretion in awarding points depending upon the circumstances of each case. You were awarded 6 points and that will last for 6 months, unless a further infraction is given in that time. Then the 6 months will re-commence from the date of the further infraction.

You are well aware of the basic rules: be friendly and respectful towards others. It is the moderation team that collectively decides what to do when any given situation arises.

There are no restrictions imposed following an infraction; it is only when a person gets banned that they cannot post anymore. You can consider infractions a warning to mind your manners. If a person refuses to heed the warnings, they risk being banned.

Now I wonder who would have told you that Atomic was told by the moderation team it was "none of his concern"?

Infractions are given according to the circumstances, some infractions will not carry points (warning only) others will carry a number of points depending upon all of the circumstances. In some cases no infraction will be given at all but it will result in an immediate ban. The moderators do communicate with each other and a process occurs prior to action being taken. The moderators thereafter further review the matter and monitor the situation. Infractions can be reversed or increased upon review by the moderators. The incurrance of 10 or more points will occasion an automatic banning.
