Should I have this large of a gap between...
my endlinks and the case? The endlinks fit nice and flush against the head but I don't know what there is such a large gap. The links are 380s and the band is 9315. Thanks all...

I think back then some of the endpieces weren't exact, so there are gaps between the case. Eventually you will have marks on the lugs from where the endpieces make contact.

You certainly do not want to lose it thats for sure, I guess you need to go with whats safe for a folded links bracelet. A compromise somewhere with safety and authenticity.

While I'm no expert on the correct end linke for this bracelet, it seems to fit the same as my Seiko "5". One of the tabs on the Seiko link bent, and I almost lost the watch. Fortunately, I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and coat, and the watch was trapped in the sleeve. If you can get better fitting links, I would.

Ok soley based on info on this forum and these charts.
http://www.rolexforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1273071653 http://www.rolexforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1273071768 http://www.rolexforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1273071830 A 5513 with 9315 bracelet was issued with either 280 or 380 end links. Also a 1680 with 9315 bracelet was also issued with 280 or 380 ends. It has been stated many times here on the forum that a Tudor 79090 has the exact same case as a 1680. A 79090 with 9315 Tudor bracelet (same bracelet as Rolex with Tudor clasp.as shown) is issued with 380b ends. So the deduction is that 380b ends fit a 5513 and 1680 case. If they do ?. You have to think about mixing Tudor with Rolex !. Also authenticity and keeping it origional etc. The reason i'm saying this that 380b's look right (on my 79090) ie no gap!, as opposed to 380's on your 5513 IMHO.Which i think was your initial concern when you posted . here's my 79090. So 380b's could look right on your 5513 !.Of course thats totaly up to you. You could also be thinking if they are better why dont RSC do this.............. well if this here is correct......They DO!!!!!!!. Albeit on a 1680. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=119522 My deductions could be totaly wrong.Im just trying to help. I hope i havent confused you. Thanks Glenn |

I am sure you can get the right piece. The newer pieces 580 or the Tudor 380b endpiece works well with the 5513 case.
Not sure if it works on the 9315 tho, 93150 I know indefinitely. I think 380 is a better fit with the 1675's. Don't worry too much tho, it is secure, and in the good ol days, there are some gaps on the endlinks to the case, even with the holy grail 6263's. |
