which hand do you use
to wear your watch!!! i prefer the right here's my reasoning
1. i feel it looks better!! i prefer the view of the crown pushers instead of a blank surface 2.being right handed my right wrist is ever so slightly bigger so in hot weather/summer if neccessary can swop wrist to accomodate without resizing or just a slight comfort issue short term 3.with the crown pushers etc towards me it gives more wrist flex before the crown touches the back of the hand this isn,t a real issue though with most watches but that breitling of mine!!! 4. difficult one to explain it just feels more one with me with the crown pointing facing me running up my arm anyway that's me guys steve |

I'm a left-wristed watch wearer myself. Given my right-handedness, it is my less active arm, and therefore exposes my timepieces to less danger.

I'm a righty, so my watches have always been on my left wrist. I'm trying to think of something funny to say, but just can't seem to come up with anything silly!!

I wear it on my left wrist. This way when I spray mace at mean dogs when I am at work, if they do get ahold of my free hand and tear it off, at least I'll still have my Rolex on my other hand.

Wow, this thread has a title that I had to look inside.
Always on my left arm, my watches go where I go.

Me too, it seemed a very impertinent question at first glance. (Capt. Mainwaring: “stop rolling you’re eyes like that, Frazier!”). But wearing a right handed watch on your right arm protects the crown. And besides that, it looks cool when you’re a poser. I wear my watches on my left arm, BTW. Take care, Frans.

At first I was going to say both hands because it's so big but then I read the rest of the question..........................Left because it's conventional.

Which hand?
Conventional wisdom says if you are right handed, wear it on you left and via versa. Whatever your dominate hand is it will be used much more than the other so it is worn on the left to keep it 'out of the way'. A Rolex sits high enough on my left wrist so the crown does not wear on my wrist, but thinner watches cause a problem. Also, if I need to adjust w/o taking off it is a natural position to reach the crown with my right hand. If it was on my left I would have to take it off to get to the crown. I have heard of 'left handed' watches with the crown reversed. =) maverick

The crown reversed or "Destro" models are huge in Panerai Mav. I think I may have an itch for one sooner or later. Although, I saw another Red Sub that Ashley has, if it did not have new hands, I may have jumped. You are that good mate.

I do believe we have two discussions going on here. The PG one is OK for everyone. But then there's the R rated one - who's going to keep Tyler from viewing that discussion? Tyler - close your eyes to every other post on this thread.
P.S. I wear my watch on my left wrist because I am right-handed. Although if I wore them on my right wrist they might get more winding action. I may have to try that with my JLC which has a notoriously poor automatic winding action and tends to lose reserve power even when worn all day.
