Finger Prints

Ok so I am one OCD among many. I am very anal about cleanness. I like my home especially TV, Computer, and my watches to look and be spotless. So how are you guys about finger prints on your watches? I personally hate having any fingerprints on my watch!!!!!!!

Your fingers happen to be at the end of your wrist unfortunately. I say wear gloves or cut off the dirty buggers!

Have to agree or lock watch away in its box.

For some reason I always wipe my prints off the watches I handle at an AD's case...

I have visions of leaving the store one minute before a smash and grab robbery and getting hauled in as a suspect because my prints were found all over the 'swag'

I've got my Maui Jim cloth in the briefcase just for that occasion. Hmmm, seems I never use it on my sunglasses, though.

Although I have had my 16610, which is my main watch, for quite a while now, I always clean the crystal numerous times during the course of a day.

When I see smudges on the dial I will wipe them off but I do not think I'm obsessive over it.....I do not carry a cleaning cloth or anything!!!

I wipe my watch crystal if I see one.. and my cell phone, etc.

There was a thread a while back about those that lick their watch. Tongue-prints. EWWWWW

For some reason, this reminded me of that!

More important things to worry about during the day than a fingerprint or smudge on my watch. Sometimes I wish that's all I had to worry about though.

Just wipe with your shirt... unless you want to carry a micro cloth at all times...

I don't bother to wipe down my watches with any dry cloth. All you're doing is wiping the finger oil and other schmutz around, and introducing fine scratches if the thing is really dirty.

Instead I wash the watch with soap and water every morning to keep it clean (and get rid of any sweat, grit, etc. in the bracelet). Takes 30 seconds.

I think leaving greasy fingerprints is a great form of reversible personalization of your precious timepiece...

In fact, I'm thinking of having them preserved with laquer for the next generation.

I guess a RADO Sintra is not the best choice if you hate fingerprints.

But one thing is sure, you will never get JJ's fingerprints on your watch.

Would an electric sander get rid of fingerprints? Or perhaps a blowtorch?
