AD price discount?

I know this has been asked and answered before, but I can't readily find the answer in previous threads. What is a typical diccount one can expect on a new Pam?

I am no expert but I was given 2 free alligator straps when I bought my 292. I once inquired about getting a 312 right after the stock market crash and was offered 10 or 15 percent off but I didn't jump on the deal. It seems like it is very hard to get discounts on Panerai's especially on more popular models.

Don't expect much, if any. Ask for some straps though!

Zero in Aus, unless you are a 'special' customer. In fact you'll be lucky to find any actual watches...

Cheers

In my home state I was told that I could acquire 0% off because they were feeling generous. In St. Thomas where I bought my 111 I received about 10% off because I have a nice face.

My first Pam was a 176 which I got 15 percent off at local AD last year. That's the only AD experience Ive had with Panerai. Hope that helps.

I got 5% in Sydney for my 112.

They were very polite and simply explained that Panerai don't hang around long enough for them to have to discount.

I spent 15 minutes thiking about it while I got a coffee and then had to wait when I came back as another customer was buying a 111.

They sell very quickly.

Nice going - was that at JFP or THG?

THG in Melb often have no stock whatsoever, or just a couple of unloved models. Wierd thing is, you cannot actually order a watch...

It also depends on teh model. Sure just about every PAM is desirable, but I think some of your more widely available models like a 111 might get you a 5-10% discount, but like most said, a free strap or two.

Your best bet is to buy it out of state and save on sales tax.

Thanks for all the input. I visited a local AD yesterday and was told a 10% discount is the best that they would do, so from what I'm hearing that's not too bad. I didn't press any harder since I wasn't going to buy at that time. They did offer free shipping as well to avoid sales tax (I'm across state line from my AD)
