Finally Back from Service

Just got my "F" LV back from service. A week with Rik at Time Care Inc, then another week at RSC Dallas to replace the "only done at Rolex" Green bezel insert.

Interesting that there is a satisfaction survey included...maybe someone from Rolex has been reading the complaints on the forums.

Im also, VERY happy with the job Rik did! Thanks Rik!

Looks great. My GMT is being serviced by Rolex here in the UK. I won't be getting it back for just under three months

Hey Art!
You sold the LV that I gave you a hard time about when you bought it? Why??

What did you pick up, M serial?

I remember that. Sold it for a Milgauss and could never get it off my mind. Last week picked one up, V serial. All is now well.

The only thing that could make that watch better is if Rolex had stuck to their guns and sold the first run with lug-holes.

Gotta love the LV though. Congrats on an AWESOME watch.

BTW, you wouldn't happen to have any "before" pics, would you??

To be honest, there was nothing cosmetically wrong with my LV other than a small scratch on the insert. I chose to have the service because it had never been done since I bought it. I removed the OE insert to keep and purchased a pre owned insert to use as the "exchange" insert. Here are a few pics from "before" the service...

I like when I have to service my watches it gives me good reason to buy a new one to wear while it's being serviced!

Christiaan - I'm glad you kept the original insert, as that is one of the important pieces to keeping the F-serial original and apart from the rest! Love the flat "4"!

Received my Sub 16610 Y serial back from Rik last week. It looks frigging brand new. Rik did a great job finishing the case and bracelet back to a factory finish. The watch is running great so far. Just over two weeks door to door. Not bad, eh? I HIGHLY recommend Rik Dietel of Time Care Inc
