Penn State Ice Cream

I had to see a client at Penn State University this last Thursday and decided to take a detour afterwards.
Most people think of Penn State of it's:

1. Football Team
2. Womens Volley Ball Team
3. It's huge alumni

But most of the world thinks of it's oldest running and most popular course, ice cream making. Two of it's grads are Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, better known as "Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream".

Nah. Everybody's heard of Penn State Ice Cream. It melts every Fall just as soon as they stop playing Youngstown State and have to play Big 10 opponents.

Ben and Jerry took a correspondence course in ice cream making at Penn State, hmmm, maybe it's not too late for me to do the same, but then, I'll just eat them all, nothing left to sell

Yup, some ice cream and a half-gallon of iced tea!

I just had some insanely great ice cream this weekend at the Jacques Torres ice cream place in Brooklyn (DUMBO). It was a flavor called "Wicked": chocolate that is spiked with Ancho and Chipotle chile flavor.
