By the way is it required to use French when corresponding with Rolex Geneva, or was that your choice?

I believe you can inquire in most languages . Basically I started off this little odyssée by contacting a family friend with Rolex Benelux in Brussels . I did get some "verbal" confirmation of what the watch was . I then was given a phone number , these people gave me a fax number and I had to put a written request to them and join as much documentation as I could . Initially I spoke to a person responsible for the Spanish market as I had mentioned that I lived in Spain . However this watch has nothing to do with the Spanish market and in this case no market at all . It is a special order branch watch . So I did send the first fax in English , that somewhere did not get to the right person . Later I got another fax number after speaking to a lady in French and sent my request in french . I didn't mind , as I'm far more fluent in French then English .
As Anastasios pointed out , the lady that sent me the mail yesterday , obviously is not native french speaking . I just mailed to this person asking if would be possible to mail me the report to my home address in both french and english .
I do not think that will be a problem , sure they have competent people in the "letters in french department" . I doubt that they will send an official letter from Rolex .S.A. with such poor grammar and spelling .

039 that is.

There is no reference page on any site that have this code attached to
Switzerland !!!!!

O39 on the papers
..I do not think it represents country- I have seen the O39
on special orders for monarchs, big shots or organizations
which is the case here - one of - for JAS/IOC

Interesting - that's great that you were able to get an answer back eventually.

I am still pissed I didn't bet Steve M. for something nice.

Congrats Tristan, from the first time I've seen this watch I knew it was original, also the country code was mentioned together with the papers in the first post.
