Skeletonized Daytona

Never seen any of the Rolex watches skeletonized so I thought I'd share:

Absolutely hideous IMHO Rolex movements are brilliant, but afraid not pretty to look at.

Agree with Padi, it makes me absolutely sick to look at that done to a beautiful watch like the Daytona (or any Rolex). MAYBE a clear caseback, but not that monstrosity. Sorry, but IMHO it's the worst.

Just consider the very fact that someone had this as an idea in the first place.

As I said last time, it's not a proper skeletonisation, someones just lopped bits off the dial. A shoddy job, and one that'd cost a small fortune to perform, I'm sure

These guys are doing everything to a Rolex just short of burning it.

Next thing they will have a pearl earring for the crown, and post.

Crank a bullet through it, and call it art......Pure crap!

I am not trying to sound like a downer or anything, but I am not terribly fond about the idea of any company claiming to use parts of a legitimate Rolex and mix it in with their cheaper, modified, non-Rolex parts. It either is or is not a Rolex, imo. There should be no in between.

Ugh... They couldn't even do it right? Honestly, who was the #&$(^@*%&!er who decided that they could skeletonize a watch by mutilating the dial?

Rolex's movement are kinda ugly to look at... either front or back... That picture just looks there's a steel plate covering 3/4 of the face with the cotes de geneve brush thing... I don't like it.

Have to agree and although not a fan of skeletonisation, when its done correctly, there is tremendous skill to cut and decorate the plates

Just for the record, this is what a skeletonised chronograph should look like. This is the Chronoswiss Opus, a really beautiful watch in the flesh
