Date on Dial

Hello all,
Just a question does the date on the top of the rolex spin throughout the day or just in the last hour or does it just turn when it hits 12 thanks heres a pic to show what I mean

I had a feeling you were talking about the day and not the date when you said on top of the watch.

And no, that is not correct, better have it checked out.

After looking at the time setting of the watch it actually could be correct.

How long does it take for it to complete the day change?

The picture doesn't do the watch justice, do you have a better one?

I seriously doubt the Da-Date in the OP's photo is authentic.

Yeah, why? When I bought my DJ in 1984 the AD said that Rolex had just switched from 14k to 18k. Don't know if the DD was different.
