Comments on this IWC.

This IWC "Boys " watch has recently come into my possession. I am awaiting an
extract from Schaffhausen and , in the meantime , wondered if any of you had
any knowledge of this model ? I have dated it to the early 1950's , it runs well but needs regulated...losing 5 minutes a day...I think it has a simple elegance.
I would appreciate any comments or information.

I assume a caliber 89, as that was their primary movement in the 50's on their manual wind watches. I had one from the early 50's. Easy to work on so any watchmaker should be able to clean and lube.
