Insurance?

Do you guys insure your watches? And if so, do you have them appraised?

Yes, I have mine insured.
My insurance company advised that I get an appraisal done at a local AD to confirm the authenticity of the Rolex and also to ascertain the value of the watch today, and its replacement value.
Only cost a few $ and well worth it in my opinion.
You may regret not having insurance one day.
Better to be safe than sorry.

Few weeks after I bought my SD - I got a letter through from the AD containing a "Valuation Schedule"

Didn't ask for it either so good of them to send on. Just looks like a more formal invoice & gives description which inc's S/N, model & T/S (?)

X2

To me the insurance was much less expensive than actually replacing the watch. My $.02

Depends on the company you're with and State you live in, but usally around 10.00 per thousand per year for insurance.

I have recieved an appraisal for both of my watches. These were provided to me and I didn't even have to ask for it from the AD who sold them to me. I have insured both of my watches and plan on insuring the third one when I pick it up.

Yes, it's insured and the AD where I bought it gave me an official appraisal that I provided my insurance agent.

Might have to get a quote from HBF, although I'm with GMHBA.
Bought my 16613 and my bro's 116613 at Eldorado's in Hong Kong earlier this year. Never even bothered looking at either Smales nor Rosendorfs, doubt they could match the HK prices, but then again I could be wrong.
Still super happy with our purchases and will be for a long time to come
