My thought....CNN Money isn't a good source for watch info! ;-)

Patek Philippe > Vacheron Constantin > Panerai ....then Longines and Hamilton...

I don't think these brands compare well.

Patek and Vacheron maybe...

IMO, Patek should not be used in the same sentence as Hamilton or Longines. Nothing wrong with these watches, but come on. It is like talking about Rolls Royce, Bentley and Kia. Nothing wrong with a Kia, but not in the same galaxy as the others.

There are no comparisons in this list, the list was put together to give everyone a so called "Power Watch" in their respective price range. The list starts at 36k USD and ends at 750 USD. Just giving all people a choice.

Not really Andrew. For that particular price range, there could have only been one, either a PAM or a Rolex, obviously the writer has a wisw sense of judgement. Besides it is about time people noticed a PAM over a Rolly.

By the way Andrew, where are you located in Indonesia, closer to Heru in Ceribon or closer to me in Jakarta?

I agree about seeing more and more, I sat next to an Indonesian ont he way back from Singapore who was wearing a 26A and he knew quite a few things about PAMS and we spent 45 minutes discussing PAM's.

We should try and get together with Elvin and Yanto (I assume you know these 2) once they are back from their PAM Pre V buying trip to Italy.

Yeah I know Elvin and Yanto.... seems like a good idea Robert. At grand indo mall last week, at least i encountered 4 - 5 pams wearer at the food court alone.... it seems to be getting some attention now.

I wear my PAM 088 and my DS with the same level of pride. They both attract onlookers at airports from Stuttgart to Manila. And yes, even in Manila, where Rolex is hugely popular and a status symbol for the affluent, Panerai is catching up slowly but surely.
