Popularity & Re-Sale Value of Daylight
I'm looking to purchase a Daylight. Can anyone offer up any advice on why they don't seem to be real popular? And what the potential re-sale value would be, given their (apparent) lack of popularity?
Thanks! |

It isn't as popular, but if you buy used, the other person took the hit.
Long story short, if you like it, wear it. Who cares what anyone thinks buy you!

I saw someone wearing a white faced PAM the other day - looked fantastic. But I didn't get a real good look of which model it is.
I would guess the black faced dial/PAMs are more popular for their traditional look - which generally are of the simple dial / design variety. But yeah, the most important thing is that you like it.

Beautiful picture of your PAM 250, Mike.
The 251 is another beautiful Daylight with it's ivory dial. |

Have had many PAM's over the past few years, and the PAM-251 ended up being my favorite. Very unique to the brand, and very few in the wild. Looks great with just about any colored strap. However, my Deepsea has made it a safe queen recently;-)

Yeah, the one I just purchased is a 188. I'll take some pics after I get it authenticated by Panerai.

Personally, I love the Daylights...have a 250 myself and may add a 251 later on. I used to have both the 188 and the 196 as well. But I prefer the all brushed case/bezel combo, so when the newer 250/251s came out I sold the 188/196 combo and got a 250.

In watches, like in life, things that seem too good to be true...
The PAM 188H that I purchased off of TheBay is crap. BENT lugs. Bent screw that couldn't be removed. Horrible seller. Now it comes time to test this "eBay buyer protection" clause. |

Love my Pam 188. Only made in 3 years......hopefully it will worth some money in the future. Buy what you like I guess and not to worry about what it's worth in the future.
