TVR Sagaris compared to Gallardo
anyone ever driven both? we do not have the tvr here ( i dont think) They are quite inexpensive compared to the gallardo but i have seen some good things about the car. I have been able to import some cars that do not "belong" and i saw the Sagaris on a show and it has peaked my interest but never spoke to anyone who has had one and could compare to something i know such as a Gallardo.

Well, TVR's do have an alarming tendancy to set themselves on fire, and I'm pretty sure the Sagaris has no driver aids at all - no ABS, TCS or ESM. Plus there aren't any airbags either - if things go wrong in it, it'll end up pretty bad. The Gallardo is in another league really - you can be assured of build quality through Audi's influence, and four wheel drive in such a high powered car would be a definite plus for confidence. The Gallardo has some 130BHP more than the Sagaris, and, whilst it doesn't have the great styling of the TVR, I think it would be a much nicer car to live with every day

I did know that the tvr has no creature comforts at all, from what i understand its almost like an old american muscle car that can go around a corner. i have a 04 gallardo and it was a phenomenal car before it was modified and even moreso after. But the tvr is something most here have never seen so thats why i was a bit interested. I did not know they have a tendency to catch on fire though.
i have not heard anything about them going out of business. But after some research the sagaris is not nearly as new as i thought it was it came out in 03. I was under the impression it was something new. |
