Finally made the plunge! My first Rolex!

I own quite a few watches, but have always wanted a Rolex. I went out this weekend and purchased a 116200 DateJust from an AD. I love it, but am still suffering from sticker Shock!!! lol

Congratulations - very nice! I think the DJ will be my next - I love the simple elegance.

Enjoy!

Congrats! Nice DateJust! I too would have gotten one but the 36mm keeps me away.

i thought that the 36mm would bother me as well, since all of my watches are over 40mm. Not the case for me though- when i put the watch on it felt just right.

Welcome to TRF, Raymoni, and congrats on a very nice acquisition.

While I was at my AD's on Saturday purchasing my new SD, I did try on a new DJ with a white dial. I loved every aspect of it, but did find the 36 mm size a bit too small.

I wish Rolex would have bulked up the DJ to at least 38 mm when they came out with the newer cases.

Congrats... I've been eyeballing a DJ as a 'dress' watch for some time now. For my wrist size, I can wear either the 36mm or 40mm and they both work fine (lucky me). The DJ is a fine example of understated elegance. Enjoy and welcome to the fold...

Welcome to TRF, Raymoni. Glad you found our friendly forum. And congratulations on that beautiful DJ. The black dial is very striking and the new Jubilee bracelet is awesome. Wear it in good health and enjoy.

its the same for me- though i have a big frame but small wrists so my panerai suits me, but with a suit the DJ looks great too

Nice and Welcome I like the band. I would love that style band on my Black dial DJ.

CONGRATULATIONS!

My order of purchase for the Rolex collection is as follows.

- I started with a two-tone submariner way back when.
- That was the only time i had sticker shock though.

- Bought a never-worn used SS red/blue GMT with acrylic face.
- Still never worn.

- Bought a Breitling Chronomat two-tone.

- Bought a SS Daytona with black face that i wear.

- Bought a SS Daytona with white face that i've never worn.

- Bought a SS Daytona with black face that i've never worn.

- Bought two (2) Ernst Benz models.

- Bought a SS DJ with WG bezel and MOP face with diamonds.
- I love this watch.

- And i'm sure the list will continue.

- Keep up the hobby. It's a blast.

Michael
