If the Sub appeals to you, buy it, new or used, and you'll never need another watch. If you get the Rolex that fits your lifestyle, I'd be amazed if you wear the rest of the collection.

Go to an AD and try on a bunch.
I didn't go in looking for an Explorer, but once I saw it on my wrist, I had to have it and it's hardly left my wrist since. |

wow! Thanks to all of you for replying. The only reason why the Submariner was the first thing that popped in my head was because that's really all I'm familiar with.
I like the ability to both wear it for casual, business, and formal attire. Does that change anything? |
