Hey guys,

Newbie from Chicago here. I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex and was wonding what model looks best with a suit. I'm leaning towards a DateJust with the White Roman numbering as it seems to be a bit of a better look than the Submariner and Explorer II

I also like the look of the Turnograph & Milguass.

Looking for some opinions.

The DD or DD2 would be the ultimate in my opinion, however if funds prevent getting a new or slightly used DD or DD2 then by all means in my opinion the next choice would be a DJ or DJII.

You'll get as many answers here as there are models of Rolex :) I haven't seen any Rolex that wouldn't go well with a suit except maybe the YM2. I've seen everything from DDs, DJs, Subs, GMTs and even Milgausses worn with suits.

The Daytona and Milgauss seem to fit best under my cuffs but the SD and Sub can pull off the classy look as well.

You're good to go with may Rolex

You definitely can't go wrong with the icon, a Submariner.

A DJ goes with just about anything.

If you really want to stand out and be unique, Milgauss GV!!!

Fortunately I don't have to wear suits or sport coats very often.... I'll probably go with my SD or SS/PT YM next time. I agree, though, that you can wear any Rolex with a suit.

I know this won't help,but I think every Rolex goes with a suit and tie as well as sandles,short's and a T......IMHO..!

Honestly the DJ II, or a TT YM look really clean, and crisp. If you had to have something that would go with cuff links, and a Montblanc, I would stick with something like that.

If You work in a really nice environment the models with a touch of diamonds work well too.

I couldn't see the TOG being my top choice due to the small diameter, but it looks great.

A SS DJ II with a blue dial, and fluted bezel would wor great with a suit.

It depends on what color suit.

Black suit = SS Sub, Brown = DJ, Gray = SS YM, White = EXP II Polar White.....

There is no single best Rolex to wear with a suit IMHO, there are quite a few as already stated. Even a Daytona works well in a suit and tie.

If you are looking to impress, a 1680/8 (18K Vintage Sub) or a 6265 (18k Vintage Daytona) will do wonders in a suit.

However, I also like a GMT C II or even the new Sub C will be very decent and matches well PCL bracelet in a suit.
