Icon1 Dating a Rolex movement

Dear all, is it possible to date a Rolex movement (for example a 3135) by it's serial number, or by any other feature?

Thank you,
G.

I presume Rolex could know by the base plate number .. I have never heard of any data available to the public regarding this . As there have been some minor modifications to particular movements , this could compared to the serial number of the watch case determine if the movement is original to the watch .
