NYC Watchmaker Recommendations

I'm looking for a competent Watchmaker in the big apple that can work on rolexes and use genuine rolex parts of course. I just want to be prepared in case the day comes when I need to visit one for a repair or adjustment of any sorts. I know Tourneau's name stink among here, but customer service aside how are their watchmakers if anyone knows. Or perhaps if NYC lacks competent watchmakers, any superb TRF watchmakers? Thanks!

Isn't the RSC still in NYC or do you prefer someone else?

Yeah the RSC is still floating around but I figured they'd probably charge more than independent and authorized watchmakers. I'll definitely take the watch to them if it something serious but for the same stuff I was hoping someone can do the servicing on the spot. I have heard quite a few horror stories about RSC return times.

Rich

I have my DS there for warranty service but as i waiting i hear this time and agin from the staff when people brought their watches in after warranty expired. Even for regualtion. Sorry sir or Mam It will cost $590 because "WE" cannot gaureentee what we find when we open up the watch. It'll will be a FULL Service.. I'm saying on a 3-31/2 year old watch? hmmmmm. Big buisness..

PM me I know someone whom is a Retired Rolex Watch maker in the city..He did not want to regulate my DS due to its still under Warrenty and he can only pressure proof to 6000 ft only.

Hey Ritchie,

This is the guy I've been using for years (http://www.watchrepairny.com/compone...,12/Itemid,51/). Top of the line service, It usually costs me around $350.
