Good for you and her, congrats... you should do what makes you happy and not worry about if you have to sell it some day!

Besides, the case can always be replaced, we are thinking doing similar to our his and hers YM's since they were for our first year of married life!

Yeah...that actually seems very "Mr. Bigg-ish." Good call

BUT, Carrie's character has been known to spend all her $$$ on clothes, bags and lots of shoes. Carrie probably couldn't afford a TT Sub or TT GMTII.

Lol, not that it matters that much, but could be construed as a 'plot hole,' lol.

unless it's the actors own personal watch, the film industry always use fakes as props instead of the real deal... and this one is clearly a fake. i can tell by the tube showing from the crown being out... as well as the engravings on the SEL links..

What do you all think: Yea or nay on this romantic gesture?

Would/have any of you engraved a Rolex that you were surprising someone with as a gift?

P.S. The fact that the crown is unscrewed in the screen shot bothers me, lol.
Me too. My wife wouldnt buy me a Rolex because she isnt into watches but I sure would hope that if she did, it would not be engraved. That unscrewed crown is odd too

"Look Mr. Big...see the o-ring? That means it's a real Rolex!"

Why an obviously pre-owned one? She's got plenty of dough. Don't get it.

While I'd never have one engraved, my Daytona came pre-engraved. It says "Winner-24"!!! J/K

I think the Rolex caseback is excellent for a nice message...maybe not as corny as Mr. Big's but like someone said, a caseback can always be replaced.

So, did anyone ever watch the movie and uncover the story behind this? :-)
