Between the black and white dial
Between the black and white dial, what do you think about which color is good for dress, and which one is good for casual?

I assume you're talking about the Daytona models. I prefer white for both, but either is perfectly appropriate for dress or casual.

Another vote for white...to me there's something special about the black hands and black trim around the lumina plots. Just my humble opinion.

Well I prefer the black dial on both the Daytona and Explorer II though the white dial is also nice as well. More of a personal preference and you really can't go wrong with either one. I think both can look dressy as well.

Since you are considering an Explorer II, I would recommend the black as an all-around casual/dress watch.
When I was shopping, I thought I wanted the white as most of my watches have black dials. In the AD's case was a Sea Dweller date without the Cyclops and the open dial/hands/markers made for a stunning combo. When I discovered how easy it was to remove the Cyclops, I went with the black. If you're talking dressy, I think white is a bit more classic (think Patek). However, for typical US office wear, both work well.
If I had only one watch it would be black face. It is dressy enough and a lot more sporty when in a more casual situations. |

In a sea of black dialed watches, a white one really stands out sometimes. If I were thinking about a Daytona or an Explorer, I'd have a real good look at the white dials. Just my humble opinion, but I find them just a tad more unique.

I've always looked at black or darker dials being dressier and white or lighter dials being more casual. A lot depends on the actual watch they are on and the metals the watch is made of too, though.

A logical analyse! I'm bit bias on Exp.II black for casual and DJ white for dressy for the time being.

Whatever watch, it has to be a white dial, be it a DJ2, Daytona or Explorer.
