I really like Rolex's rose gold....much warmer and very elegant IMO!

I LOVE my DJ and several months ago I tried on the same version, but in TT RG and I really liked it. Have tried it on a few more times over the last week as a family member is close to purchasing the exact same watch and we've been popping into ADs.

The thought would be to replace my 116234 with the 166231....gives me a taste of that elegant RG without the huge leap (both financial and in terms of look) of going all the way to a DD, which I'm not sure I would adjust to.

So, would just like to get your thoughts. I'm not making any rash moves!

Would you trade this:

For this:

??????

Thanks for your input

P.S. For those who have already given me solicited advice, don't yell!!!
Hi Karis,

Just came across this thread, so I'm sure you will appreciate my input.

First off, you don't want to lose too many $$$ on the WG bezel DJ. If the losses are minimal, or you can even cut even (which would be fantastic), then go for it.

I love TT watches and on ladies, I think they look fabulous. Rose Gold has a distinctive charm of its own and will go well on your wrist.

I hope it works out well for you.

Good luck & do keep us posted.

Normally I would, but not when it comes to Rolesor on a DJ

With your Daytona and DJ being the same in color combination I can understand that you may want to go to RG TT. For this reason alone I'd say 'do it!'.

My five timepeices couldn't be more different in color/style from each other if I tried - I didn't plan it that way, but I'm glad that they are so.

I don't care for rose gold on watches so I would keep the SS.

Hi Karis,

IMO a rose gold/st st combination looks fantastic.

My choice for you would be a 36mm RG/SS DJ with a smooth bezel, white face with romans.

Similar to this one from Oscar but with romans.

That combo is nice too, Eddie, but I really love the jubilee bracelet on a DJ...and of course the fluted bezel....geez, I'm sort of stuck in my ways, aren't I?!

Personally, I can't bear to part with a watch, even the broken and worthless ones.

Karis I think it would be an amazing move. I love that RG model you are looking at. Currently it is my next watch although it won't be for a few years for me.

If it's a possible move for you - I'd make it hands down! I can pretty much guarantee you won't miss the all SS version for too long ;)

Those are two great datejusts. Tough call. The two tone is dressier for sure and if you worry about security, more likely to get swiped/noticed.

Karis, the RG is amazing. If I didn't have a yellow gold e-ring and wedding band, I would do it in a second! But as I recall, yours are platinum so you are not going to have the clashing issue. Everose is just stunning on. I have been thinking of a midsize TT DJ since someone inquired about buying my Platinum/SS YM, but I never heard back with a firm offer, so here I am!

Thanks Brandon! I know you love RG as well

Well I'm not looking to get mugged, that's for sure. I wouldn't exactly be 'worried' about that wearing a TT. Full gold might be another story.

Hey Fin!!! So you still have the YM, hey? I know you really like the RG as well....it's so classy Yes, my rings are plat, and the majority of my jewelry is WG/plat, so I'm not worried about clashing. I do wear a few YG pieces every now and then, but somehow I think it would all blend in.
