Does this make me a bad husband? Belated wrist shot.
Hello all -- Never got around to posting a wrist shot of my wife's new watch. She had some hesitation because it's a bit smaller than her prior watches -- this is her first Rolex -- but the 35 mm. YM just seemed too big. This is the 29mm. She has very small wrists. Anyway, here's a wrist shot, and I think some stickers still remained. Oh yeah -- I think she likes it now, or at least that's what I pray.

It looks great, but I think the 35mm would work too!

Of course it depends on what SHE wants. Who picked it? If she wants a larger watch, why not get that for her?
My daughter, for instance, is very buff and strong. She works as a firefighter and dresses in 'bunker gear' for her job. Thus, she wants something 'feminine' on her wrist when she's not working, so I got her a 26mm Lady Oyster Perpetual. But I think she's becoming the exception. More and more women are going to larger watches these days, and it's a sexy look. Just come out and ask if she would prefer the 35mm model. Heck, she may even want the 40mm! |

It looks better to me than the smaller watches. She will love it! She has a sweet watch, and should grow to enjoy the new size.

Just turned 46, but would pass for 32. And yes, no doubt, big watches are super cool on woman.

That looks great, Chuck!
The size of the watch fits perfect with her wrist size. And the watch is beautiful! I never understand how and why a girl can wear a Sea-Dweller or a Deep Sea; it simply looks odd to me, but that's just my personal opinion. The only (mens) watch I think looks good on a woman's wrist is the Daytona, it is an elegant and more "feminine" watch. Tom |

It looks good to me, but I'm not big on the gargantuan watch look.

Agreed, looks very nice, and also agreed that the 35mm would work. I wonder, though, if part of her aversion to that watch was the weight. The YM is pretty solid and feels pretty substantial vs. other similarly sized watches.
Find a nice NOS AK/OPD in 34mm, and that issue is gone. |
